Welcome,

The Whitchurch inn finds itself in the middle of the buzzing community of Whitchurch on the outskirts of Tavistock. It was originally built in the 13th century and has been closely linked with the stunning St Andrews church ever since.

It has been family owned since 1999 when the Langton family saw its potential. It was carefully and lovingly transformed by Paul, to reveal its natural character, with stunning oak beams, natural stone walls and two large fire places. During the renovations an old shoe was found in the walls, as was custom in the 1800's to ward off evil spirits. When the shoe was removed to be dated by the Plymouth museum, suddenly the renovations started hitting some difficulties until the shoe was returned, hopefully stopping any future problems!!

The Whitchurch is blessed by a friendly atmosphere, lovely locals and fantastic location just down from the moors.
